Peking duck is the specialty. Almost everyone that is dinning here order the Peking Duck. For the Peking Duck they use a rice pancake rather than a steam bun. I prefer the steam bun since they hold up better than the rice pancake. They also have other dishes as well. The Shanghai dumpling was okay. Was expecting some soup inside the dumplings, but there was no soup. I may have order the wrong dumplings. The gold and silver bun, is okay. I am use to the buns being much larger.

Pecking Roasted Duck is 5/5. The duck’s skin is perfect, crispy but not oily. Customer service from the waitress was not impressive. Here is the conversation. The waitress: what tea do you want? (She did not pass me the menu/ drink list) Me: what do you have? Then she handed in the menu to me and pointed where the tea’s list. Showing the menu first before asking customers what they will order, and verbalizing yourself instead of body gestures is more professional as a waiter/ waitress.

I was very hesitant eating here due to the 3 stars review. It seems like the low rating is mostly due to the prices. It is expensive, but they also use prawns rather than shrimp. We ordered the following items from my favorite to least (1) pineapple fried rice, (2) stir friend turnip cakes, (3) shrimp balls, (4) chicken potstickers (voted by my friend), (4) beef siu mai (5) shrimp chueng fun, and (6) shrimp dumplings. The fried rice was amazing, just the right seasoning and moisture. The turnip cakes were up there and better than kirin court, although it could have used a fried egg. The shrimp balls were good as well and reminded me of Caravell's shrimp balls. The rest were okay. You can tell they use more expensive ingredients and thus why their prices are more.

Reservation was for 6 pm on a Friday and place was nearly packed with mostly Asian customers, thus raising our expectation for a 5-star cuisine experience. Turned out to be average, bumped up to 4-star due to the authentic Peking duck. There’s better xiaolongbao served in Plano. For the pan fried pork bun, the outer bread is way too thick making the filling minuscule by contrast. Some stir-fried pea shoot were tough. Shrimp portion was a little short for our party and relative to what we had elsewhere. No complaint on the lo mein although it’s not outstanding. The Peking duck is without question authentic and one of the best if not the best we’ve had from coast to coast.

Food is great at a very reasonable price. I love their roast duck. It shows pictures of the dishes on the menu which is easy for us to pick. It’s reasonably clean with a transparent kitchen, but bathroom could be improved. The food lacks variety. For example, they only have two kinds of pork steak排骨.
