Xi Xia Western Chinese Cuisine: A Taste of Authentic Chinese Food in Columbus, OH

This restaurant breaks the stereotype of all usual Chinese eateries and sets a milestone. They offer some culinary delicacies which is superlative. We ate something like a crispy fish fillet soup, that comes with a side of rice. The portion size of the entree was hefty enough to feed both of us upto the neck. The rice was not sufficient, so we had to order another bowl of rice. We got us a starter of some crispy fried chicken with pepper which was pretty decent. The fish was exceptionally delicious, especially in the cold weather. You must check your own spice tolerance level, as it could be equally hot and spicy. We ordered the food without ‘numb’ - that comes through Szechuan peppercorn giving some tingling numb sensation in tongue. Overall, the food was terrific. The restaurant was pretty clean, informal, and laid back. You need to scan your phone for menu and place the order online, even though you are in the restaurant. A must try if you are open to experiment and appreciate good food across the cultures.
